Zen Gardens can be of any shape and size and used for everything from the beating of a drum to building a quite point of solitude in the backyard of a busy city.

The gardens are comprised of rock arrangements, trees, pond or water features, and bushes, and the use of gravel or sand that is raked to give the impression of ripples in water in the landscaping.
